About Right Hand House.

    Hello.

I’m Danielle and I run Right Hand House, a botanicall, vintage and nature inspired art and design business, with eco and sustainability at its heart.

    How it began.

Having my son made me really take focus on the areas of myself and life that felt positive and negative to me and the main thing I came to realise was how much having a focused outlet for creativity affected me positively. My art quickly took on two of my favourite things, plants and old vintage finds with a good ol’ story behind them. So, I decided that drawing and painting the things I love, studying them, showing their history and turning them into products other like minded people could enjoy would be such a fulfilling and enjoyable route to go down.

    Who I'm for.

If you’re a person who, like me, has a love of historical, vintage objects, from a time long forgotten and have an inclination for juicy, green houseplants (or jungle) and want to fill you home with beautiful, storytelling artwork or buy meaningful and heartfelt cards and stationery, then i’m your, slightly quirky, gal.

Or if you’re a small business, looking to fill your shelves with eco-friendly, nature inspired prints and cards then I am also quite possibly your gal. You can drop me an email here or alternatively, I am available through Faire.

    What I'm about.

I’ve been honing my business and art skills for a few years, albeit dipping in and out due to having kids, but this motherhood business has brought such a fire in my belly to create and create with intention and purpose because lets face it, my time is limited! I’m an avid studier of what I love, bordering on the line of obsession and I believe that artwork of any kind should bring a sense of joy, happiness and contentment.

    My Eco Promise

As soon as I had the idea of starting Right Hand House, I knew I had to make it sustainable. Vast green spaces, woodlands and parks give me so much pleasure and help to cure any mental funk im in. I’m even in the process of turning our house into a houseplant jungle! In every aspect of our family life, we try wherever we can to make eco choices, whether that be reusable bags, beeswax sandwich wraps or taking our own bamboo straws to cafes for our toddler. The same applies to my business. All my packaging is 100% biodegradable, my art is printed onto fully and part recycled paper and the same goes for my greetings cards, so they can all 100% be recycled after use. All of my products are printed in the UK, or in house, so our carbon footprint is kept to a minimum.
